FUSION乐园 123 translation (Chinese pop rock song)
Today I came across the Chinese rock band 乐园 and their song 123. Their English name is ‘Fusion’, which is a bit daft in my view (naming yourself after a musical genre is bound to cause confusion).
The video intro is pretty misleading: they turn up in big leather boots and one of them is inexplicably holding a baseball bat, so I thought they were about to start thrashing away with some hard rock groove. It’s almost comical when they come in with this pleasant pop rock song.__
It’s from 乐园’s album 如果未来. The most similar English-language band I can think of is Maroon 5, at least for the style. The lyrics for 123 are pretty inane. And it has a rap section, which isn’t very Maroon 5.
