颠覆M - 蒙古精神 lyrics translation: The Spirit of Mongolia, by DianFu M
This is a translation of the lyrics for the song 蒙古精神 (‘The Spirit of Mongolia’) by the Mongolian death metal band 颠覆M (DianFu M, previously known as Ego Fall). The song is the titular track from their first album, released in 2008. I think the second album, Inner M, is a bit better though.
If you’re looking for metal with Mandarin lyrics, then 颠覆M might be a good candidate, although I doubt anyone can actually understand much of what they’re singing. Their style is pretty weird, with a mix of ‘traditional’ Mongolian folk music (I don’t know how genuine it is), bouncy ska type stuff and pounding death metal riffs. Also, being the only Mongolian death metal band, they tend to make quite a big deal of the fact that they’re Mongolian.
