Excellent post here. This is pretty comprehensive list. I’ve recently learned 引起 in class, but all these rest are helpful, especially the 由 constructions.
I also posted this on http://socialmandarin.com so other Mandarin learners can share this post!
BTW, I forgot to add, keep up the blog posts, your blog is really great and it’s already in my RSS reader!
Greetings,
Confused Laowai
Thanks, glad it helped. And thanks for the link on Social Mandarin!
I think you mean 产生.
Fantastic post thank you.
Thanks for the tip. I think both are valid:

I’ve added 产生 to the list as well.
Nice post!
Another construction I’ve come accross repeatedly in some novel recently, and which I found interesting, was: “[A]之所以,是因为[B]”
Sure, it’s everybody’s best friends 因为 and 所以 all over again gain, but I wasn’t taught to use them in this way that much…
Thanks! I like that construction as it seems to translate so smoothly into English.
Nice post. A common one is [由于]A,B。e.g. 由于物价高涨,大家都少了去饭馆。or 由于物价高涨,[所以]大家都少了去饭馆. Very often, [所以] is understood and left out.
